The Tel Hai Retirement Community and the Twin Valley Aquatic Club will share the new competition-size swimming pool at the StoneCroft Commons facility, to be built on the Tel Hai campus in Honey Brook.
Construction is expected to be completed in mid-2015. The Commons facility is part of a larger StoneCroft project which will also include two senior apartment buildings - Bluestone and Greystone - creating 105 new households at Tel Hai.
The planned swimming pool will be able to accommodate competitive events for the Twin Valley Aquatic Club and swimming teams representing Twin Valley High School.
The pool will feature six lanes equipped with starting blocks and a timing/scoring system. Two levels of spectator seating will also be available.
The facility will also have locker rooms, a spa and a fitness center.
Tel Hai and Twin Valley had to work out scheduling for the pool as part of the sharing arrangement.
The new facility will allow the aquatic club to expand its membership to additional youth and to host swim meets.
