Fusionetics is designed to help athletes understand, monitor and improve performance
FRISCO, TX (December 3, 2015) — The US Youth Soccer National League is working with Fusionetics — a human performance and training platform geared to help elite athletes understand, monitor and enhance performance at all levels — to provide individual player evaluations designed to improve athleticism and reduce the likelihood of injury.
Fusionetics’ clients include some of the top professional and collegiate sports teams around the country, as well as many health care professionals who have seen the advantage of Fusionetics’ human performance system.
While competing in the National League Fall Showcase in North Carolina (Dec. 3-6 for girls and Dec. 10-13 for boys), each National League team will have the opportunity to take part in the evaluations as an added benefit to the hundreds of college-bound players competing in Wilson, N.C.
Following a quick individual evaluation, each athlete will receive a customized plan to improve performance and reduce the likelihood of injury. Fusionetics provides the first platform in sports science that allows each player and coach to collect, manage and monitor athlete data and deliver targeted evidence-based intervention strategies to prevent injury and maximize athletic performance. Each athlete receives real-time scoring on various areas of the body, allowing the Fusionetics team to analyze the data and produce customized programs aimed to improve each player.
“The National League is excited to have Fusionetics on-site in North Carolina to give the players this opportunity to evaluate how their body movement affects athleticism and what can be adjusted to decrease the potential of injury,” National League commissioner Paul Luchowski said. “Many of these athletes are college-bound soccer players, so this quick evaluation will help to keep them at their peak athletic performance and in good health.”
The National League features the top 160 teams in the Under-14 through Under-18 Boys and Girls age groups. With 16 teams divided into two divisions per age group, each team has had to earn its place in the league through success in US Youth Soccer Regional Leagues and National Championship Series play. Teams automatically qualify for the National League by finishing in the top two of their division the previous year, through success in their respective US Youth Soccer Regional League or by winning their respective US Youth Soccer Regional Championship.
The National League provides a pathway for four teams per gender age group to qualify for the US Youth Soccer National Championships, sending the top two finishers in each division of the Under-14 through Under-18 Boys and Girls age groups to compete for the National title. The four National League representatives will join the four regional champions at the 2016 US Youth Soccer National Championships at the Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco, Texas, July 25-31. After the Boys and Girls opening weekends in North Carolina, the National League will continue the season in December alongside the Disney Soccer Showcase in Orlando, Fla., with the Boys playing Dec. 27-29 and the Girls competing Dec. 31-Jan 2.
