Mountain View, California (April 15, 2019) – Today, Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), a national nonprofit dedicated to transforming youth sports culture, announced a new partnership with TeachAids, an international nonprofit leader in global education innovation. Together, they will provide CrashCourse, an interactive learning experience which educates youth nationwide about concussions.

Since its founding, PCA’s resources have reached more than 8.6 million youth and high school students, providing positive character-building information for youth sports. TeachAids, an award-winning social venture, creates research-based technology to solve persistent problems in global health education. CrashCourse, their latest initiative, will be shared in PCA’s Development Zone Resource Center and disseminated across their network of over 1,000 schools and youth sports organizations across the country. Other organizations, including Pop Warner, American Youth Football and the US Olympic Committee, have shared the CrashCourse education products throughout their networks.

Both organizations have gained unwavering support from leaders across multiple sports disciplines. Notable names, like Pro Football Hall of Famer Steve Young and legendary Stanford tennis coach Dick Gould have joined the PCA and TeachAids advisory boards to help create a safer, more positive youth sports culture.

“This is such a natural partnership! I have had the honor of being involved with PCA since it’s founding and with TeachAids since the inception of the CrashCourse initiative. Both organization’s respective goals of making youth sport participation safer and a more enjoyable experience is very important. Their initiatives complement each other so very well.“- Dick Gould, Vice Chairman of TeachAids, Advisor for PCA and 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient from PCA.

Olympic gold medalist and two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup Champion, Julie Foudy, also serves on both advisory boards. Like Gould, Foudy is being recognized by PCA this year with the Lifetime Achievement Award “Providing engaging and scientifically-sound education on head injuries is of paramount importance. The CrashCourse materials by TeachAids have been an outstanding resource for our young athletes. It’s been incredible to watch the tremendous momentum around this initiative expand across our country." - Julie Foudy, TeachAids Ambassador, PCA National Advisory Board, World Cup Champion, Olympic Gold Medalist

Jason Sacks, VP of Business Development and Philanthropy at Positive Coaching Alliance said, “We were impressed with TeachAids’ evidence-driven development process. Together, PCA and TeachAids will transform the culture around concussions for the 38 million youth actively engaged in sports across the United States.”
