Gatorade will be showcased as the go-to fueling and hydration option for TeamSnap teams in Canada
BOULDER, CO, (January 7, 2020) – TeamSnap announced today a new partnership with Gatorade® Canada that will unlock its popular Assignments feature for 3.5 million Canadian users. With the new partnership, Gatorade will be showcased as the go-to option on TeamSnap for team refreshments.
Assignments is one of the most celebrated features on TeamSnap. It enables a coach, team manager, parent or player to assign or self-assign snacks, beverages, tasks and volunteer shifts. This can include anything from assigning someone to bring the Gatorade and granola bars to designating a team photographer or carpool lead.
“We regularly hear from coaches, team managers and sports parents about how Assignments has become one of their most valued functions within the TeamSnap app,” said TeamSnap co-founder and CEO Dave DuPont. “‘Bring the Gatorade’ is such a common volunteer assignment for all types of sports teams that making this feature available to everyone in Canada in partnership with Gatorade was a natural fit.”
Assignments was previously only available to teams registered with TeamSnap’s Premium or Ultra plan. Now, teams on any TeamSnap plan in Canada will have access to the feature. Gatorade will be showcased as an option in the assignments drop-down—making it easy for team members to volunteer to bring sports drinks to events. TeamSnap will also deliver a coupon for a discount whenever someone signs up to bring Gatorade to a team game or practice.
“Our focus is to provide hydration and fueling options for all Canadian athletes. Working with TeamSnap offers convenience and connectedness for the sports communities of many Canadian coaches and sports families throughout the season,” said Lourdes Seminario, Senior Director of Marketing at PepsiCo Canada. “Integrating Gatorade into the TeamSnap’s Assignments center will be an impactful way to remind everyone why proper hydration is essential for athletes at all levels.”
Canada has been an early adopter of sports management solutions and TeamSnap has increasingly become part of the essential toolkit of busy sports parents. An active sports parent, player or coach in Canada interacts with TeamSnap multiple times per day. Canadian brands have embraced innovative partnerships that provide TeamSnap users with valuable benefits integrated into their daily use of the app.
