Tempo Hires Olivier Ropars as It’s First Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (December 07, 2020)Tempo—the first home fitness system that uses 3D sensors and A.I. to analyze your motion and provide real-time rep counting, form feedback, and weight recommendations— has named Olivier Ropars as Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer.  Co-founded by Moawia Eldeeb and Josh Augustin, this is the company's first executive hire in revenue and marketing. Ropars oversees all growth and brand initiatives for the company, reporting to Eldeeb.

Ropars joins Tempo during a time period as the tech company is growing rapidly with sales increasing by more than 20x since officially launching in April. With an industry-leading NPS and a class rating hovering at 4.8 stars, Tempo members average 5 workouts per week—significantly higher than the typical gym membership.

Prior to Tempo, Ropars was the global CMO at StubHub, advancing StubHub’s brand to appeal to a global audience and expanded the company’s vision to connect people through inspiring live event experiences. Under his leadership, Stubhub grew double-digit globally and expanded it’s loyalty program to bring fans exclusive experiences like backstage access and meet & greets with talent. Ropars will be responsible for accelerating the growth of Tempo while developing a community-centered brand.

As an engineer with expertise in business, Ropars held various roles as a strategist and executive leader prior to Stubhub in the technology and retail sector, including Ebay, McKinsey & Company and Motorola, Inc. He is a graduate of UTC Compiegne in France and earned an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
