BROOKINGS, S.D. - June 20, 2013 - At the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Convention last week Daktronics (Nasdaq - DAKT) of Brookings, S.D., presented a $32,525 check to the Wounded Warrior Project® as part of a sponsorship that included a Salute Concert for veterans.

"For the second consecutive year, NACDA and its affiliate associations have partnered with Daktronics to provide a Convention concert with proceeds benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project®," stated NACDA Executive Director Bob Vecchione. "Daktronics is one of NACDA's longest-tenured sponsors and we look forward to continuing this mutually beneficial programming to our Convention attendees in future years."

The band Funhouse started playing around 8:00 pm on Friday night as convention goers gathered in support our returning troops and to unwind after long day of informational sessions and idea sharing.

In addition to serving as a sponsor of the concert, Daktronics has been a sponsor of the NACDA Convention for more than 20 years and this year provided LED product in the foyer to help with event announcements among other Convention messages.

Daktronics had a booth at the Convention where the company displayed the most recent products and trends in the LED industry. The company also provided a large amount of creative content for the displays and also served as producer for convention events such as the concert and awards luncheons.

"It was a pleasure to once again, for the second year, be the presenting sponsor of the NACDA Salute Concert for the Wounded Warrior Project," said Kyle Adams, Daktronics sales representative. "Raising dollars for this organization and also providing entertainment for NACDA attendees is something that Daktronics is proud of and can feel good about. Everyone who attended had a great time and we hope we can continue to grow this event from year to year in supporting the men, women and families of our military."

The LED product in the foyer at the Convention included Daktronics new Street Furniture product with tight 6 millimeter line spacing covered by a glass enclosure, a main video display featuring technology with exceptionally tight 4 millimeter line spacing and a scorer's table featuring technology with 10 millimeter line spacing.
