We’re Looking Forward to an Exciting 2016

Thanks to you, our readers, 2015 was another great year for Athletic Business.

During 2015, we launched our new interactive advertiser website, added a new member to the editorial team (and a few others to the magazine staff), hosted a great Athletic Business Show in New Orleans, and most recently, crossed a million website visitors for the second year in a row.

But we’re not done. We hope you’ll join us for an even better year in 2016.

Here’s a list of things that we’re excited about in the New Year.

A Redesigned Athletic Business Magazine

If you subscribe to the magazine, the January/February issue will look a little different than previous issues. We’ve been hard at work streamlining the flow of the magazine and upgrading its look and feel. It’s all the same great content in a format we think you’re going to love.

If you don’t subscribe to the magazine (which you should—see if you qualify for a free subscription by clicking here), you can still get a peek at the redesign by checking out our digital issues. Stay tuned.

The 29th Annual Architectural Showcase and 36th Annual Facilities of Merit® awards

To be fair, this is something we look forward to EVERY year, and with good reason. Athletic Business is all about facilities -- building them, programming them, staffing them, making them better. The Architectural Showcase is the best way to see how the industry continues to evolve and advance year after year.

The 35th Annual Athletic Business Show

The Athletic Business Show has been the premier educational event and trade show in the industry for the past 34 years, and this year we’re taking the show to Orlando from November 17-19.

We’ve got a lot of exciting changes in store for the show this year, some of which have already started. Check out the website to see some of our new branding.

Building Blogs

Tackling a new building project can be a daunting task. With so much to plan and so many factors to consider, it can be tough to know even where to begin. In 2016, we hope to make it a little easier on those of you tackling new building projects by providing you tips and experience from people who’ve been there.

We’ve already started. Alex Peirce, Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications for the University of Wisconsin’s Rec Sports department, has written several great pieces, and will continue to write as their project progresses.
