Abilene Christian University in Texas has updated its policy on animals at athletic venues.

In order to align with university policy on pets, effective March 30, 2025, approved service dogs are the only animals allowed in all ACU athletic facilities, an announcement on the university's athletics website stated last week. This rule includes, but is not limited to, Crutcher Scott Field (baseball), Elmer Gray Stadium (soccer, track and field), and Poly Wells Field (softball).

This change aligns with the existing guidelines for Wildcat Stadium (football) and Moody Coliseum (basketball, volleyball), ensuring consistency across all our athletic venues.

The only exception to the rule is for any planned 'Bark in the Park' events, which will be announced by the ACU athletics department.

For example, the ACU baseball team is hosting a Bark in the Park Day on April 13, when the Wildcats host Utah Tech at 12:05 p.m. Dog owners will need to fill-out a waiver and provide information of the animal's vaccination history before entering Crutcher Scott Field.
