After a historic 16-0 season and a national championship victory, Indiana University football head coach Curt Cignetti is auctioning off multiple game-used items with all proceeds going toward the Hoosier’s NIL opportunities. The hot ticket item? Cignetti’s own headset.
As of Friday, Jan. 30, bids for the 2025 National Championship headset have reached over $16,000 on Bison Drop Auctions. Bidding started at just $450.
According to On3, the auction will run through Feb. 8. Other items up for auction include team-issued towels from the Rose Bowl, Peach Bowl and National Championship, as well as, game-used Gatorade bottles.
The auction house, Bison Drop, is an Indiana-based company that specifically deals in Hoosier memorabilia and other Indiana-themed items. Athletes and coaches are compensated by the company through NIL-style deals.
The Rose Bowl and Peach Bowl towels have reached bids of $750 and $680, respectively, and the recently sold game ball from the Peach Bowl sold for more than $7,000.
Fans who take home game-worn or game-used items from Bison Drop also receive certificates of authenticity and special notes.
