Police in Anne Arundel County, Md., report that a former treasurer of a local youth athletics organization has been charged after investigators say she stole more than $240,000 from the volunteer-run group over several years.

As reported by WBFF in Baltimore, citing Anne Arundel County Police Department sources, the investigation began March 21, 2025, when the department’s Financial Crimes Unit looked into allegations of missing funds from the Pasadena Buccaneers Athletic Club, which focuses on mentoring local youth through sports programs and coaching.

Police identified the suspect as former club treasurer Kelley Ann Haley of Pasadena, Md. The club’s president initially raised concerns, reporting that Haley, now 45, may have intentionally manipulated financial records to conceal debts and alter expense reports.

Detectives later determined that between January 2019 and March 2025, Haley allegedly used the organization’s debit cards for personal purchases without authorization, WBFF's Alexa Dikos reported.

Investigators say they uncovered hundreds of fraudulent transactions and ATM withdrawals, totaling more than $242,500.

On April 28, 2026, Haley was charged via criminal summons with theft scheme over $100,000, theft over $100,000, and two counts of embezzlement and misappropriation of funds, according to Dikos.
