The University of Arkansas football team may have beaten Texas on Sunday, but their fans’ celebration after the game will prove costly.

The Southeastern Conference on Monday announced that it will fine the Razorbacks $100,000 after fans rushed the field following Arkansas’ 40-21 victory over Texas.

Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek can be heard in a video posted to the team’s social media account telling an Arkansas State Police office to let the fans come onto the field.

"We're going to let them come down," Yurachek says in the video. "We'll get fined for it but if we don't let them come down, people will get hurt. I don't want that to happen."

According to the WholeHogSports.com, this was Arkansas’ second offense. The schools was fined $25,000 in 2014 when fans stormed the field after beating LSU. The fine for a first offense was increased to $50,000 the following year.

The league can levy a $250,000 fine for a third offense.
