Florida Christian School's Fight Over Pregame Prayer Heads to Supreme Court

A Christian school in Tampa is taking its fight with the Florida High School Athletic Association over the constitutionality of pregame prayer to the U.S. Supreme Court. 

As reported by CBS News, Cambridge Christian School claims the FHSAA violated First Amendment rights when it blocked the school from offering a prayer over a stadium loudspeaker before a 2015 high school football championship game. The school is asking the Supreme Court to overturn a decision last year by the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that sided with the athletic association.
