Police in Gig Harbor, Wash., investigated a suspicious fire at Gig Harbor High School that damaged some track and field and football equipment.

According to a Facebook post by the police department, the fire resulted in an estimated $150,000 in damage to equipment. A juvenile suspect from Henderson Bay High School was identified, arrested and charged with arson.

KOMO news reports that the fire was started in a portable toilet next to an equipment storage shed. Some of the damaged equipment is used by student-athletes preparing to compete in track and field state championships, which are set to take place this weekend.

Since the fire, a number of high schools have reached out to Gig Harbor to allow their track and field athletes to borrow equipment.

No one was injured in the fire, according to investigators, but the school will be unable to replace some of the damaged equipment before this weekend’s state championship events.
