LSU women's basketball coach has reportedly signed 10-year, $32 million contract, the largest in women's college basketball history.
According to ESPN, the deal still needs to be approved by the LSU board of supervisors which meets on Friday.
The new was first reported Wednesday by The Advocate, which obtained the terms of the deal through an open records request. Mulkey, who lead LSU to a NCAA title last year, would be the highest paid women's coach in college basketball, with UConn's Geno Auriemma and the Gamecocks' Dawn Staley behind her.
Last year marked Mulkey's fourth championship as a head coach. She won three national titles as head coach at Baylor before returning to her native Louisiana in the spring of 2021 to take over at LSU.
