The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga announced that it would break ground on the Wolford Family Athletics Center in the fall. Monsignor Pace High School in Miami Gardens, Fla., broke ground recently on a $1.5 million renovation to the school’s Spartan Stadium. According to the Miami Herald, the new facility will feature a new polyurethane track surface and synthetic turf, and will serve the football, soccer, track, cross country, girls’ flag football and cheerleading programs. — Miami Herald
The Texas Tech University Board of Regents recently approved a budget that will help fund work on the school’s baseball clubhouse. The $1.1 million project will renovate 10,000 square feet of space, and add 9,500 square feet to the facility’s gross square footage. Plans call for a coach’s office suite, a relocated player locker room, a classroom, a film room and upgraded athletic training and hydrotherapy facilities. The University of Illinois announced that it received a $2 million gift to fully fund the expansion of the Demirjian Indoor Golf Practice Facility. The expansion project will add several hitting bays and a state-of-the-art putting studio.
