Tulsa Police Investigating Drowning After Men Break Into Community Pool

Tulsa (Okla.) police are investigating a suspected drowning at a community pool on the morning of June 11. 

According to the local ABC affiliate, the incident occurred at Whiteside Park near South Pittsburg Avenue on East 38th Street. 

Police say three men in their early 20s entered the Whiteside Park pool early in the morning while the pool was closed. The men were likely consuming "some sort of intoxicant." 

Two of the men left the pool for an unknown amount of time. When they returned they found the third man unresponsive in the shallow end of the pool. 

CPR was administered at around 5:39 a.m. and the man was pronounced dead at 6:16 a.m. The Whiteside Pool will be closed until at least Wednesday due to the incident. 

Police have not released any other information at this time.
