Police are investigating after an Indiana teenager had to be rescued at a local private pool club after he suffered a medical emergency while in the pool.
Allen County Dispatch were called to a medical emergency Thursday at the GlenAqua Swim Club in Fort Wayne.
According to Fox 55, when first responders arrived at the facility, a teenage boy was being given CPR by the pool's lifeguards who had seen the boy struggling in the water and pulled him from the pool.
The boy was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Police said the investigation is standard procedure for the police department. They preserve any evidence in case the apparent accident or medical episode reveals anything after a thorough investigation.
