At least one person was shot and another suffered a medical emergency Monday night during a disagreement that broke out at a high school football scrimmage in Louisiana.

According to KTBS, the incident happened around 8:30 in the parking lot of Bossier High School's football stadium during the school's Spirit Night when a group of teens and young adults got into an argument.

Bossier City spokesman Louis Johnson said one person was shot, and the suspected shooter suffered a medical emergency during the incident.

Both the shooter and victim were taken to a hospital for treatment, and the gunshot victim was described as having non-life threatening injuries.

The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office has opened an investigation into the matter.
