Northern State University’s Regional Athletics Complex brings a new experience to the heart of campus and the community. The 3,900-seat Dacotah Bank Stadium (football) and 290-seat Koehler Hall of Fame Field (softball) both create an atmosphere on campus that ranks at the top in Division II athletics.

The 350-person Champions’ Club is a unique feature connected to Wachs Arena, delivering an incredible view to the football field while providing an opportunity to host events during basketball, volleyball and indoor track events. The complex was constructed on a southern extension of campus and gives NSU a decided home field advantage.

The new facilities bring a level of entertainment and excitement back to campus and to the heart of the Aberdeen community. The on-campus experience is greatly enhanced; students are now able to walk to games and experience dedicated tailgate lots for pregame events, an enlarged kids’ zone, seating that puts fans on top of the action, and overall upgraded patron amenities and premium options.

The overall design follows the language already established on campus for athletic facilities, including clean lines, simple forms and high-end finishes that create a holistic experience for donors and recruits. These facilities are not only important to the community, they take student-athlete retention and recruitment to a higher level than the university has experienced before.
