Upper Arlington High School

Situated within a metropolitan suburb of Columbus, the newly constructed Upper Arlington High School serves as an inviting, modern learning and competitive sports environment for over 2,000 students in grades 9 through 12. 

Based on a two-year master planning endeavor for the Upper Arlington School District, the school’s commitment to educational excellence through its core values of collaboration and innovation was brought to life via a brand-new high school featuring a natatorium, outdoor courts, fields and a stadium. 

Seeking an interconnected, modern learning environment, a broad, multipurpose “boulevard” was strategically incorporated to operate as the school’s central core and commons. This path connects academics, musical arts and athletics programs into one, seamlessly engaging facility. 

The expanded arts and athletics facilities include a 1,500-seat auditorium, a black box theater, a natatorium with a 10-lane pool, a threecourt multipurpose gym, and a varsity competition gym that can accommodate one main court or three practice courts. Outdoor athletics facilities include an extensively renovated Marv Morehead Stadium, and new baseball, softball and practice f ields where the current high school building was built in 1957. The building itself is a central community asset, providing gyms, theaters, a pool and more for community use.
