While the NBA season might have ended Thursday night, the Washington Wizards are already looking to prepare their home for next year.

According to the NBC Sports, the Wizards have announced what will be the league’s largest courtside patio.

Called The District, the 1,000-square-foot area positioned at one end of the court will feature a bar. The area is aimed at enhancing the social atmosphere of the arena.

“Washington, D.C. is one of the most connected cities in the world and the courtside patio at Capital One Arena will be an ideal location for business development and networking opportunities and perfect for fans who want to socialize at a unique space that serves as a literal extension of the hardwood and our terrific in-venue VIP experiences,” Jim Van Stone, president of business operations for Monumental Sports and Entertainment, said in a press release.

Located on the right side of the court, next to the Wizards' bench, The District will occupy a portion of sections 105 and 106. It will also feature VIP seating that will allow fans to stand, sit and socialize.

The project is part of an overall $55 million renovation of the Capital One Arena that will take place this summer.
