
RAJ Sports, the sports investment platform for the Bhathal Family, owners and operators of Portland Thorns FC and the new Portland WNBA franchise, today announced plans for a first-of-its-kind dual sport women’s performance center, serving both a women’s professional soccer (NWSL) and a women’s professional basketball (WNBA) team.
Designed as a facility that champions innovation and athletic excellence, the performance center will feature a first of its kind elite training core, elevating the standard of athletic development by integrating cutting-edge training, advanced recovery, and holistic wellness with lifestyle elements specific to the needs of female athletes in a collaborative multi-team setting.

Architecture studio Populous has revealed its plans to renovate Lake Como's Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium and regenerate the surrounding lakeside urban landscape.
The stadium, which originally opened in 1927 and is home to top tier football club Como 1907, will be upgraded into a multifunctional venue for sports and other events.

York High School’s new $6 million athletic complex will feature a state-of-the-art sound system, bathroom facilities and an expanded sprint track to accommodate more runners.
The complex, which will replace the facility built in the 1970s, was approved by the Planning Board on Jan. 29. It will replace the current grass field with turf and improved pavement for guests walking into the stadium area and visitor’s bleachers for the first time in York. [Seacoastonline]
