
The University of South Dakota is set to unveil a long-awaited facility on campus.
Attached to the Wellness Center on campus, the Natatorium will replace the old pool at the Dakota Dome facility.
They have been dreaming and planning to open a new facility for the swim and dive team for some time and that dream is becoming a reality.
“Whether it’s your first time in here or you haven’t been here in a month, usually you see some wide eyes and some dropped jaws, you know, people verbally saying, ‘Wow!‘” said Aquatics Coordinator Wyatt Thompson. [Dakota News Now]
Two longtime Port Arthur ISD coaches are helping turn dreams into reality with the opening of a new $4.2 million athletic pavilion at Memorial High School, giving student athletes a competitive edge and a new sense of pride.
The 75-yard outdoor sports pavilion, which opened in January, was spearheaded by head football coach Brian Morgan, who petitioned the school board for the project. He said the facility is already having a major impact. [12 News]
City and state officials gathered at Bryan Middle and High School to announce they have broken ground on a new facility that will open many doors for students.
The new Career Tech Center is being paid for by a $2.5 million grant given to the school by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
The new center will provide space and new tools for students to use. The district plans on having design and production classes, engineering, precision machining, and computer aided design.
