Shovels are in the dirt and ground has been broken on the team's lacrosse-only facility, which neighbors FSU's golf facility and engineering facility on Pottsdamer Street. The $12 million complex that will hold the team clubhouse and an over a thousand-seat stadium will be only the second women's lacrosse-only facility in the country, joining Clemson.
"A lot of months of work and a lot of great people that have put a lot of their heart and soul into this project already," Tisdale said. "We are grateful to have the commitment from the University and from the board, and understanding what this truly means not only for our sport, but to add to the great culture that already exists here at Florida State."

Sacramento State reveals renderings of new basketball arena
As the Sacramento State Athletics program strives for new heights, they have released a rendering of what its future basketball home will look like next season.
One day removed from the headline-grabbing move to hire former Sacramento Kings guard Mike Bibby as the school’s new men’s basketball head coach, Sacramento State revealed a rendering of The Well, where the Hornets will play its home games for the 2025-26 season.
The Hornets’ current home stadium, The Nest, was built in 1955, only seats around 1,000 spectators, and is considered one of the oldest NCAA Division I facilities.
Sacramento State, which is also in the process of developing a new 25,000-seat football stadium that was announced in September 2024, now plans on opening the upgraded version of The Well for Bibby’s inaugural season as Hornets head coach.

Cotter Schools to rebuild indoor athletics facility on site of former Winona State dorm building
Cotter Schools announced this week that it is purchasing Lourdes Hall and plans to take down the current building to create an indoor athletic facility.
Lourdes Hall previously served as a residence hall in Winona State University’s (WSU) former West Campus. Cotter also previously purchased other former WSU West Campus buildings, Maria Hall and the Tau Center. The Tau Center is now Cotter’s St. Nicholas Hall, the school system’s early childhood center, and Cotter has not yet announced official plans for Maria Hall.
President Mary Eileen Fitch said there is currently a purchase agreement in place for Lourdes Hall and Cotter is in the process of setting a closing date for the sale. A donation to Cotter is going toward the purchase, she said, adding that she believes the price was slightly above the appraised value. This February, the appraised value of Lourdes Hall was $760,000, down from the original appraisal of $3 million.
