The San Francisco 49ers announced plans to open a fitness center dubbed 49ers Fit in San Jose later this year.

The fitness concept is a partnership between the team and Mark Mastrov, the founder of 24 Hour Fitness. The first fitness center in San Jose will feature more than 36,500 square feet of fitness space designed to give members the experience of working out like members of the pro football team, with programs designed and developed by the team’s strength and conditioning staff.

According to 49ers.com, the facility will feature branded strength and conditioning equipment, boutique-style fitness classes, a recovery lounge featuring cyrotherapy technology, and a 40-yard turf area for sprints and functional training.

“49ers Fit is going to be cutting edge in every sense of the word and we’re going to leverage our unique organizational assets in ways that will make 49ers Fit one of the most dynamic gym experiences in the country,” 49ers president Al Guido told 49ers.com. The San Jose location will be located in the Westgate Center Outlet Mall, but Guido said more locations will be springing up around the Bay Area.
