A Wilkes-Barre, Penn., gym reopened this week after a fire last Friday in the women’s sauna caused a temporary closure.
The club was evacuated on the evening of Dec. 28 after the fire broke out near the women’s locker room. Fire crews quickly contained the flames when they were called to the scene.
The club was closed for a few days while flame and smoke damage were mitigated — but the club was reopened on New Year’s Day.
TV station WNEP reports that while the club will be open, the women’s locker room is still in need of repairs and that women will have to use a temporary changing area until those repairs are complete.
