A routine trip to the park turned into a potentially dangerous situation for kids in the Chicago suburb of Oak Lawn on Wednesday.

According to Chicago's CBS affiliate, several sharp metal screws were found sticking out of the interior of slides at an Oak Lawn park. Officials say it was done with the intent of hurting the children who slide down it. Fortunately, the 10 one-and-a-half inch drywall screws, embedded in the bottoms of two of the park's five slides, were discovered before anyone was injured.
