European Report: No Need for Crumb Rubber Concerns

A report published by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) on Tuesday indicated that there is little cause for concern regarding exposure to chemicals as a result of contact with synthetic turf surfaces and recycled crumb rubber infill.

The Helsinki-based agency said in its report that based on current available evidence, it “has found no reason to advise people against playing sports on synthetic turf containing recycled rubber granules as infill material.”
