Survey: Americans Value Equitable Access to Parks

The National Parks and Recreation Association has released new data on Americans' attitudes around the equitable access to parks and green space. 

According to the report, fully 87 percent of U.S. adults say it’s important for people to have fair and just access to high-quality park and recreation programs. These essential services provided by local park and recreation professionals and their agencies include (but are not limited to): parks and green space, recreation Facilities, and youth sports and programs. 

Two-thirds (67 percent) of U.S. adults say fair and just access to high-quality park and recreation programs, services and facilities is extremely or very important. Meanwhile, 72 percent of parents say fair and just access to high-quality park and recreation programs, services and facilities is extremely or very important.
