The City of Tampa and Tampa Parks & Recreation in February unveiled renovations and improvements to its fields and facilities serving the Belmont Heights Little League at Cyrus Greene Park.

The improvements began in March 2022 with the press box and concession building receiving an exterior renovation. The Gary Sheffield Infield was also upgraded with the removal of old sod, laser grading, and the installation of new Bermuda turf. In December 2022, the Majors field was renovated to make it more inclusive and equitable for both boys and girls to participate.

A renovation of the T-ball field is underway, which will include new dugouts, aluminum player benches, bleachers, and a spectator area, all while making the field accessible to people with disabilities. The field is receiving a new backstop and fencing, a customized windscreen, grading of the turf and clay area, and the addition of a new Bahia turf outfield, and new clay and bases. The batting cages are also being upgraded with new netting, batting mats, and fencing.

The upgrades aim to provide a safe, modern and inclusive environment for young players and fans to enjoy baseball and softball.
