On Wednesday afternoon, student-athletes made a distressed call to University of Kansas campus police to report a non-student who was loitering outside campus housing and harassing residents with unwarranted “free-throw advice,” according to the Lawrence Journal-World.

When campus police arrived at KU’s men’s basketball dormitory, McCarthy Hall, shortly after the 3:30 p.m. call, the man had already left. KU police deputy chief James Anguiano told the Lawrence Journal-World that they would not be filing a report for trespassing or other criminal activity.

Radio traffic gave reason to believe the same man was on the scene several times earlier that day and may have returned around 5 p.m. According to Anguiano, the name of the intendent recipient of the perpetrator’s “advice” was not relayed to him by the responding officer.
