The fitness company based in Dallas, Texas announced Wednesday that the economic impact of COVID-19 has caused the chain to close about 30 gyms, including all of its Alabama, St. Louis and Colorado Springs locations.

“We’re absolutely not going anywhere,” a statement on the Gold’s Gym Facebook page said, noting that no franchise-owned gyms are being closed. “We know that we will emerge from this stronger and ready to grow.”

The coronavirus has affected the entire fitness market, including Gold’s Gym, which has nearly 700 gyms in 29 countries. Gyms across the United States have been forced to temporarily close their doors as the world tries to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
