Hilton Head Island, SC, USA - - Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) announced today that it has received provisional accreditation from the United States Tennis Association (USTA). USTA’s accreditation program sets uniform standards for the development of those new to the profession and will include ongoing coaching education for all certified professionals who are members of accredited organizations.
PTR continues to be the leader in Coach Education. PTR innovations in 2019, include:
• Level 1 Certification launch – the first to require six-plus days of education to become certified
• Established eight (8) regional education centers
• Conducted more than 180 PTR certification workshops in the US in 2019
• Revised PTR Continuing Education Recognition Program
• Launched PTR Virtual Classroom
• Debuted Bollettieri-PTR ‘Tennis in a Can’ curriculum for high school and team coaches
• Held inaugural PTR National Education Day at Cary Leeds in New York City
• Released revolutionary PickTEN program to grow the game
• PTR Directors of Tennis Conference held on the west coast for the first time (Indian Wells)
• Held PTR Technology Conference at IMG Academy
