San José State University announced Thursday a $4 million commitment to its men’s basketball program, representing the most significant philanthropic investment in program history. According to the athletics department announcement, the transformational commitment will directly support player retention, talent acquisition, and critical operational needs, while helping position Spartan men’s basketball for sustained success in the Mountain West Conference.
Murray State University athletics has received a transformational investment of $2 million from a generous family of Racer supporters, it was announced Monday. The anonymous gift counts toward the Leading The Pack campaign and will support numerous strategic initiatives, capital progress and revenue share throughout the athletic department. On Tuesday, Murray State announced another gift in the amount of $550,000 that will help the department advance capital progress within the CFSB Center, furthering the MSU's commitment to fan experience within the home of Racer basketball.
A new donation to California State University, Northridge men's soccer provides scholarship opportunities and meals for student-athletes. According to the university's announcement last week, the $110,000 gift comes from the New Hope Foundation, which works to remove barriers to success for individuals in need. CSUN’s support for students with low incomes aligns it with the work of the foundation and its president, Dan Hosseini. The gift boosts the team’s budget for healthy snacks and meals on road trips while also increasing the number of scholarships the team can offer, making it more competitive in recruiting.
