
Muscle Shoals (Ala.) High School officials are conducting an investigation after a bullet was found in the gym locker room.
According to AL News, the bullet — a single long rifle round — was found by a student on Friday morning and turned in to a teacher. The school was quickly put into lockdown.

The school resource officer conducted a search of the area and did not find any additional ammunition in the locker room or surrounding athletics facilities.
Superintendent Dr. Chad Holden said in a statement, “The Secure the Perimeter protocol was lifted at 10:16 a.m., and the school resumed normal operations. Administration will continue to investigate how the ammunition came to be on the locker room floor."
