Blue Surf Bay

Blue Springs, Missouri
Construction Cost: $35 million
Area / Square Feet: 171,000
Occupancy Date: May 2024

Blue Surf Bay Waterpark offers a distinctive indoor and outdoor experience designed to engage the community and draw visitors to the region. In hopes of creating a space for all ages, WTI consulted residents to identify key aquatics amenities in 2013. Funding was approved in 2021 through a park sales tax vote. The completed outdoor area features a lazy river scattered with immersive elements such as water curtains, geysers and dumping buckets. A 1,600-square-foot wave pool powered by a wave ball has dynamic splashes. Blue Surf Bay also includes the Double Surf-Air inflatable surf simulator and a four-slide waterslide complex, highlighted by the record-breaking 350-foot Slipstream™ Stand-Up Slide — the first and longest of its kind in Missouri. Indoors, amenities include a wellness pool with a 115-foot current channel, underwater bench seating and a vortex for resistance walking. Nearby, guests may unwind with poolside back massagers. The 1,150-square-foot splash pad boasts the latest spray technologies with zones designed for various ages and abilities. The multipurpose lap pool stands out with cliff jumps, a climbing wall and a NinjaCross, perfect for fitness and recreation.
