The Atlanta Braves recently unveiled a new spring training complex in West Villages, Fla., a master-planned community in the City of North Port. The $125 million CoolToday Park complex features 90 acres of space with seven fields, 11 batting cages and 63 pitching mounds, in addition to the stadium itself. Comcast Spectator announced plans for a $50 million esports arena to be built in the Philadelphia Sports Complex. To be named “Fusion Arena,” the facility will provide seating for 3,500, and will merge gaming audiences with traditional sports audiences. Austin FC, Major League Soccer’s latest expansion franchise, will begin competition in its new permanent home in 2021. The team recently announced the construction manager for its forthcoming 20,500-seat, $240 million stadium.
