Progress is being made on plans to build a professional soccer stadium in Des Moines.
The Iowa Soccer Development Foundation has announced it submitted its final Iowa Reinvestment Act application.
The application has to be approved by the Iowa Economic Development Authority. From there, the foundation will have to reach an agreement with the city of Des Moines and raise nearly $20 million.
The stadium is expected to be built at the old Dico site. Dico was demolished in 2021 to make way for the project. [KCCI]
