New England Revolution Leaving Gillette Stadium for New Waterfront Stadium 

The New England Revolution is leaving Gillette Stadium for a waterfront arena having negotiated a compensation agreement with Boston lawmakers.

Unlike many cases where public money is poured into wealthy moguls' pet projects, Massachusetts requires teams to pay for their own stadiums.

Kraft -- the world's 204th richest person with a $13.8 billion fortune, per Forbes -- can certainly afford it.

The Kraft Group and Boston Mayor Michelle Wu announced an agreement on Wednesday with $48 million spent on infrastructure improvements and other projects in areas that will be impacted by the new arena.

Hermantown Celebrates Opening of New $24 Million Hockey Arena

Hermantown hockey is entering a new chapter with the opening of a new arena.

The $24 million arena was designed to expand attendance, improve facilities and support the growing popularity of the sport in the community.

Arena Legacy Fund President Shawna Jokinen spent the past half decade raising funds and bringing the idea to life.

The new rink officially opens this week, the result of a fundraising effort that began half a decade ago. The campaign was spearheaded by Shawna Jokenin, with the goal of giving Hermantown’s hockey players a modern home of their own.

Big Bend Mulls $170M Athletics Complex 

The village of Big Bend Plan Commission considered a proposal to turn farmland into a multiphase, mixed-use recreation and hospitality development in Waukesha County. The Breck Athletic Complex will include six turf baseball fields, seven full-size soccer fields, futsal and lacrosse fields, and an indoor turf facility spanning 155,000 square feet for baseball, soccer and lacrosse training, plans showed.

Eric Weishaar, founder and president of Breckenridge Landscape, presented the development to village officials in November 2025. I & S Group, Inc. provided design services.

Kraus-Anderson, the project construction manager, estimated the total construction cost will range between $175 and $225 million, according to a letter from I & S Group. Two major factors that will influence the final cost are a proposed retail area and anticipated upgrades to State Highway 164, plans showed.
