
Austin Peay State Unveils Softball Training Facility
Austin Peay State University Athletics and POWCO have completed renovations to the Governors softball indoor training facility as part of a new multi-year partnership.
The project modernized the indoor training space used by the Austin Peay softball program, improving the facility's functionality and creating an environment that supports year-round development and performance. Renovations enhanced the overall training layout and updated key areas of the facility to better support daily team operations.
"This project reflects our continued commitment to providing our student-athletes and coaches with the resources they need to succeed," said Austin Peay Director of Athletics Jordan Harmon. "The completed renovations to our softball indoor training facility improve an important space for the program and represent the beginning of a strong partnership with POWCO, as we continue to enhance our athletics facilities."
The indoor training facility plays a key role in the Govs' ability to maintain consistent training throughout the year, particularly during inclement weather or offseason development periods.
New Renderings of Norwin High School Stadium Released
The architectural design firm behind the Norwin (Penn.) School District's new football stadium has unveiled renderings of what the stadium and surrounding area will look like once construction is expected to be completed in June 2027.
Planning for a new Knights Stadium began after DRAW Collective completed a comprehensive feasibility study for the district.
The school board opted to move forward with a formal bidding process for a proposed stadium and auditorium in November 2024. At the time, it was estimated that a new stadium and auditorium could cost approximately $33 million.
New Mexico State Approves Upgrades to Aggie Memorial Stadium
New Mexico State University Director of Athletics Joe Fields today announced a $17 million investment in Aggie Athletics with the approval and funding of a new Press Box and Executive Suite project at Aggie Memorial Stadium. This funding will be combined with another $1.225 million in capital funding for the project, for a total facility investment of $18.225 million toward the groundbreaking plan.
NM State Athletics will also receive a special appropriation of $9 million to be spent over three years for athletics operations. The funding secured from the State of New Mexico represents the largest financial procurement in the history of NM State Athletics.
Secured through strong partnership and support from the State of New Mexico, the project represents a bold step forward in elevating the future of Aggie Football and the overall fan experience in Las Cruces.
