Green Bay Packers Unveil New Locker Room at Lambeau
The Green Bay Packers unveiled a fully updated locker room for players inside Lambeau Field ahead of the start of training camp on Tuesday. All veteran players are reporting to camp on Tuesday ahead of Wednesday's opening practice, so Matt LaFleur's team is in for a treat upon reporting back to Green Bay.
The new locker room keeps the iconic "G" in the middle but features updated lockers and visuals, new bathrooms and lighting and added seating areas for players.
The team provided a full photo gallery of the locker room here.
While the previous locker room was fine by NFL standards, an update was necessary and sought after by players. In the NFLPA's grading of teams, the Packers received a B- grade for the locker room, ranking 12th in the NFL. Overall, the locker room was the most common answer from players in terms of needed upgrades, and the Packers listened.
UAB Begins $15.4M Renovation of Bartow Arena
The University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Athletics is set to begin a $15.4 million renovations on Bartow Arena later this month. Construction is expected to be completed in October 2026, and Bartow Arena is anticipated to be fully functional for the 2026-27 basketball season.
"The Bartow Arena project will elevate the experience for our fans, students and athletes," said UAB Director of Athletics Mark Ingram. "It will also make a meaningful impact on Brimingham and UAB. We encourage the community to enthusiastically support this project and our teams by purchasing their season tickets now for the historic season that lies ahead."
In March 2026, the UAB Department of Athletics and Learfield announced an enhanced partnership with C Spire to include naming rights of Bartow Arena's new club area pending approval from the University of Alabama System Board of Trustees. The new club is one of four main components of the renovation project, which also includes an entrance lobby expansion, replacement of lower bowl retractable seating and concourse improvements, including updated lighting and restrooms.
Behind the Scenes of SoFi's World Cup Transformation
The World Cup kicks off next month across North America, and the Los Angeles Rams' home stadium will be hosting games in Inglewood. SoFi Stadium is one of the premier venues in the country, so it makes sense that games will be played at Stan Kroenke's $5.5 billion mecca.
In order for the stadium to host the World Cup, several changes needed to be made. The biggest overhaul? The playing field. All World Cup games must be played on natural grass, and SoFi Stadium – like many other venues – features a turf field.
