Georgia Southern University has officially opened the doors to its new Steverson Family Baseball Facility, a nearly 21,000-square-foot expansion at J.I. Clements Stadium designed to propel the Eagle baseball program into a new era of success. The $11 million project, a culmination of years of planning and significant donor support, promises to enhance player development, recruiting, and the overall fan experience.

University leaders, donors, coaches, student-athletes, alumni and community members gathered for the ribbon cutting ceremony, marking the completion of an approximately $11 million project aimed at enhancing player development, recruiting and the overall game day experience for fans.
Seminole County Approves Next Steps for Sports Complex
Seminole County commissioners unanimously approved the next step Tuesday for a proposed regional indoor sports complex near the Boombah Sports Complex and Orlando Sanford International Airport.
The vote allows county staff to move forward with soliciting architectural, engineering, and construction management services for the project while continuing discussions involving possible land acquisitions near the proposed site.
According to county leaders, the proposed complex would be designed as a multi-purpose venue for basketball, volleyball, wrestling, cheer and dance competitions, graduations, banquets, and other large events.
Hundreds Turn Out for Launch of New Elev8 Fitness Facility in Boston
Elev8 Fitness, in Marsh Lane, has been created by local entrepreneur Vaughan Dent in partnership with the town’s homegrown boxing hero Callum ‘The One’ Johnson.
The facility has been designed to cater for everyone, from first-time gym users through to elite-level athletes.
Features include: strength and conditioning equipment, dedicated boxing and combat zones, cardio and functional training areas, class and circuit spaces, as well as a coffee lounge and on-site treatment room.
At the heart of the project is a longer-term ambition to establish the Acorn Boxing Club. Backed by Acorn Taxis, this will be a ‘dedicated space to develop local talent and build a strong boxing community within the town’, a spokesman said.
The facility launched on Saturday, with boxing personality ‘Big’ Joe Egan, former sparring partner of Mike Tyson, cutting the ribbon.
