West Monroe (La.) Football Reveals New Sports Medicine Facility, Covered Practice Field

The West Monroe (La.) Rebels already feature one of the Louisiana high school football’s top playing venues, but has now added around their stadium with some new amenities.

KNOE8 Sports Director Aaron Dietrich posted photos on social media of West Monroe’s new sports medicine facility and covered practice field during a open house session. The photos reveal a recovery center for student-athletes, with a hydrotherapy room featuring a whirlpool and dedicated taping & bandaging stations.

Recently Rivals ranked the Top 5 high school football stadiums out of the Pelican State and West Monroe’s Rebel Stadium topped them all and here’s the excerpt on the facility taking the top spot.

University of Washington Launches $22M Softball Stadium Renovation 

The University of Washington has received a transformational leadership gift from Tom McFarlan to launch a multi-phase renovation of the Huskies' softball facility, Director of Athletics Pat Chun announced today.

The project, planned in two phases and estimated at $22 million, is a significant investment in Washington Softball's future, enhancing student-athlete support and elevating the fan experience for one of the premier programs in collegiate softball.

"We are incredibly grateful for Tom's leadership gift and the momentum it creates for Washington softball," said Chun. "This is an important step in bolstering one of the premier college softball programs in the country, and it will meaningfully enhance the experience for our student-athletes and fans. We are fortunate to be part of a community that cares deeply about UW Softball, and with Coach Tarr's extraordinary leadership, we are excited about the future of this program."

Houston Moves Ahead With $9.5M Hope Center Sportsplex

Construction on the Hope Center Sportsplex in Webster, will begin in July, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. 

Led by two Houston natives, Raymond Steward and Shonbay Jones plan to create an elite sports performance center in a 65,639-square-foot facility. Construction is expected to cost $9.5 million.

"At Hope Center Sportsplex, we provide a dynamic indoor environment where athletes of all ages and skill levels can train, compete, and thrive," reads a statement from Hope Center's website. "Built with excellence in mind, our facility is designed to support everything from foundational development to elite competition. Whether stepping onto the court for the first time or preparing for the next level, every athlete who enters Hope Center gains access to professionally managed programs, high-quality playing surfaces, and an atmosphere that inspires growth."
