Brewers Announce Plans for Premium Lounge, Outdoor Beer Garden

In what amounts to one of the biggest ballpark additions in the lifespan of American Family Field, the Milwaukee Brewers have begun construction on the Truss Club, a new two-story structure near the right-field corner that will offer exclusive experiences for fans sitting in the stadium's high-end seats behind home plate.

Built in the area just outside the ballpark along the first-base line, the club will eventually connect to the current concourses when it opens in 2027. The idea: An all-inclusive fan experience with valet, food, drink and gathering space for ticket-holders, part of what essentially counts as a reimagining of the season-ticket program for 375 seats.

The idea even affects the playing field; a new front row of seats will be added to what currently exists, slightly shaving down the space behind home plate. Ticket holders in the first six rows behind the plate (the current front five and the newly added sixth) will have new cushioned seats, in-seat delivery service and access to the Truss Club.

Lobo Football Announces Completion of $7.5-million Tow Diehm Facility Expansion Project

The highlights of the project are the addition of a dedicated team room and the expansion of the Mark Paulsen Strength & Conditioning Center. The weight room expansion increased the space to 4,876 square feet, with 2,450 square feet renovated. It is the most noticeable expansion from the outside, as it encloses the former covered outdoor space and seamlessly integrates it into the existing building architecture.

The weight room expansion makes room for one of the program's most needed areas: the new nutrition space and fueling center. Created in a “Grab-and-Go” style, the facility will allow players to access nutrition and catering whenever the facility is open. The space allows players to immerse themselves in the facility outside of class, minimizing downtime and fostering team building within the program.

Perhaps the key piece of the expansion is the addition of a new 120-seat, 2,334-square-foot auditorium-style team room in the lower southeast portion of the facility, perfect for team film, meetings, and game preparation. The new auditorium is located between the locker room and the expanded weight room, improving flow and ingress/egress for the team.. Fans got a glimpse of the new space as Coach Eck joined Josh Pate for the Pate State Speaker Series, one of the top college football podcasts nationally.

Iowa Basketball Shares First Look at New Carver-Hawkeye Court

Weeks after Iowa Athletics announced that they had purchased the court used in the NCAA Tournament's South Region as a replacement for the aging Carver-Hawkeye Arena parquet floor, the Hawkeyes provided fans with an exciting update.

Iowa shared a look at the new court's installation as assembly crews continue to condition and decorate the surface in preparation for the men's and women's basketball seasons this fall.

While the parquet flooring will be removed for the first time since the arena opened in 1983, Iowa has promised that the new maple wood court's overall look will remain similar to the previous floor, with a few new design elements incorporated.
