Mid-Pacific Unveils $7.5M Track and Field Facility
Mid-Pacific Institute unveiled a new track and field facility Saturday on its Manoa campus.
The nearly five-acre facility replaces the school’s previous athletic field and includes a six-lane track along with areas for other field events.
The $7.5 million project was designed by Hawaii-based firm G70 and will serve students in grades 7 through 12 for athletics, physical education and conditioning.
A natural grass infield will also be used for flag football, soccer, school events and commencement ceremonies during the offseason.
Developer Seeks to Convert Mall Into Basketball Facility

New bids from developers are reportedly being reviewed by the new owners of the former Westfield SF Centre mall, which we all watched slowly go to its grave over the last three years and is now officially an enormous dead mall in the middle of the city. As the SF Standard reports, bid proposals were accepted until last Wednesday, at which point the proposal window closed.
Edgewood High School Plans Major Athletics Facilities Upgrade
Edgewood High School in Madison is planning major upgrades to its athletic complex.
City of Madison's Plan Commission approved the project in July.
Plans include expanded seating for 1,200 fans, a modern press box and a brand-new concession stand.
