12,000-Square-Foot Luxury Athletics Club Coming to Jersey City
The rapidly growing northern edge of Downtown Jersey City will be getting a sprawling gym facility sometime next year as CULTR Athletic Club will be setting up shop in a recently opened property.
RXR announced that the fitness brand has signed a lease for 12,000 square feet of space within the Hudson House Collection. The new club will occupy ground-floor retail space at Radio Lofts that features expansive windows on a prominent corner.
The new location represents an expansion for CULTR founder Richie Van Houten, who has operated CULTR Fight Club at Hudson House East for the past three years. That location will remain open and continue to focus on boxing, kickboxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, and other martial arts training.
Officials Announce New Timeline for $1B AT&T Stadium Renovation
The planned $1 billion overhaul of AT&T Stadium is not set to begin until 2028, according to the city of Arlington.
The city confirmed the tentative timeframe to the Dallas Business Journal on Sept. 18. A spokesperson for the Dallas Cowboys confirmed the timeline provided by the city to the DBJ.
The update comes months after Arlington City Council voted in April to extend the Cowboys' lease at the stadium until at least 2055 and to provide hundreds of millions in financing for the project. City documents indicated the Cowboys would pay for $750 million of the renovations while Arlington commits $273 million through special tax revenue bonds over a 20-year period.
City Breaks Ground on New Ice Arena
The City of Casper recently announced that it, along with the Casper Amateur Hockey Club, project supporters, donors and community partners, will celebrate the official groundbreaking of the Casper Ice Arena Expansion Project on Monday, Sept. 28 at 5:15 p.m. at the Casper Ice Arena.
A release from the city says that the expansion represents the culmination of years of planning, fundraising and collaboration. Once completed, the additional sheet of ice will “significantly increase available ice time, improve scheduling flexibility, and create new opportunities for youth and adult hockey, figure skating, learn-to-skate programs, public skating, tournaments, and special events.”
“This project reflects what is possible when a community comes together around a shared vision,” said Casper Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities Director Zulima Lopez. “The strong support from donors, businesses, and community partners has made possible an investment that will expand recreation opportunities for residents of all ages, strengthen our ability to host regional events, and serve Casper for generations to come.”
