University of Wyoming Unveils New Aquatics Center

A sparkling facility like this sat on wish lists for years.

Dave Denniston’s predecessors lobbied for a fresh building years before he became University of Wyoming’s swimming and diving head coach in 2017.

Friday’s Brown, Gold and Old meet served as the grand opening for the $65.3 million Wyoming Aquatic Center, then the squads hosted the Brown vs. Gold intrasquad meet Saturday.

“What is great is everyone sees it as the new home that we are excited that we get to not just train in but we compete in,” Denniston said. “We are proud of it. The amount and pride of excitement around this building is something we are all feeding off of every single day.
