New Renderings of Continental Coliseum Released 

Developers behind the Continental Coliseum have released new renderings showing the planned interior of downtown Oklahoma City’s new arena.

In a social media post, developers of the new arena show what visitors can expect from the arena’s food and beverage spaces, including kitchens, seating and an open-market design.

The new images provide another look at how the interior of the arena is expected to be laid out once construction is complete.

Alcorn State Releases Plans for New Tennis Facility 

Alcorn State University Athletics has announced that construction is underway on a new on-campus tennis facility that will provide a new home for the Braves men's and women's tennis programs.
 
Construction on the facility began in September 2026, marking another step in Alcorn State's continued commitment to enhancing its athletics infrastructure and providing its student-athletes with quality facilities in which to train and compete.
 
"These upgrades mirror our commitment to excellence across all parts of our student-athletes' experience here at Alcorn State," said Dr. Tracy M. Cook, president. "We are making a commitment to improve all of our athletic facilities to enhance our competitive atmosphere."
 
Designed by Major Design Studio, the new tennis facility will serve both the Alcorn State men's and women's tennis programs and is being designed to accommodate Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) and other NCAA tennis competition.

Geneva Schools Breaks Ground on New Athletics Complex 

Hundreds of people from the Geneva Area City Schools community gathered to break ground on a long-time aspiration Wednesday at Geneva High School.

The school board and district administration have been planning a new athletic facility over a year.

The board selected the firms Then Design Architecture to design it and C.T. Taylor Construction for the project, and approved a more than $5 million proposal sum.

District Superintendent Paul Lombardo said crews will start digging Monday, weather permitting, after equipment is brought in this week.

The district currently has an agreement with SPIRE Academy to play games there, which is set to expire in June 2027.
