Voterobics 2008, an election-themed group fitness program featuring such exercises as "Balance the Budget" and "Swapping Parties," recently launched at various New York Sports Clubs locations in New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
Conducted to songs that have graced current and past presidential campaigns, the class includes 12 exercise stations geared toward cardio, strength and conditioning - from balancing on a wobble board to running laterally between two points. NYSC senior director Sean O'Hearen says the class is designed to be fun while promoting voter awareness. To that end, the company has teamed with the organization Rock the Vote to educate its members.
