South Alabama Seeks Public Monies for Stadium

The University of South Alabama would like to build an on-campus football stadium and is looking for help from local taxpayers to do it.

The Sun Herald reports that the school is looking to secure financial commitments from both the city of Mobile, Ala., and taxpayers that will total about $15 million to support the on-campus stadium. School officials have estimated the total costs of the project will approach $75 million.
